Holy, Holy, Holy

Holy, holy,
Holy Lord God Almighty
Heave and earth are full of Your glory
Hosanna in the highest!
Hosanna in the highest!

Blessed is He
Who comes in the name of the Lord
Hosanna in the highest!
Hosanna in the highest!

Scripture References:
Isaiah 6:1-6
Matthew 21: 1-6
Revelation 4: 1-11

"... day and night they do not cease to say, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come."

The worship of the Holy Trinity will be our full-time employment in Heaven. Does that sound boring to you? If it does, it's because you don't know who God is. Get to know Him. Pray. Worship Him with your heart. The more you know Him, the more you will love Him. And the more you love Him, the more you will want to be with Him. The more you are with Him, the more you will know him... And so the cycle continues.

Lord, this is the endless cycle that I want my life to be caught in. Like a snowball rolling down a mountain side that gradually gets bigger and bigger, gaining more and more momentum until I finally crash into Heaven. Then I will be prepared for that blissful work of praising you day and night forever. I will have learned the art of it while on earth. Holy Father, I have a long ways to go and many earthly desires still compete for my attention. Sadly, my snowball is only being nudged along uphill, and progress seems so slow at times. Be gracious to me, O God, and draw me to Yourself with your most patient love.

In writing Christian music,
lyrics have to be
the heartbeat of the song.
After all, it is the lyrics
that primarily distinguish Christian music
from secular music.
It's not the only mark
of distinction,
but it is
the most important.
